Privacy Policy

L2Hub ("L2Hub", "we", "us" or "our") is a fan-run directory and knowledge base for Lineage 2 game servers, operated by L2Hub. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use l2hub.me, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep things as simple and minimal as we can — we are a community project, not an advertising company.

By using L2Hub you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the directory, the knowledge base and your account:

• Account information. If you create an account, we store the email address and username you provide, plus a securely hashed password. Email is used for sign-in, account recovery and important service notices.
• Server submissions and content. If you add or claim a server, we store the details you submit — server name, chronicle, rates, opening date, description, links, banners/logos and similar listing data. This content is intended to be shown publicly in the directory.
• Analytics and usage data. We record aggregate activity such as page views, clicks on server listings and votes. To prevent abuse (spam votes, inflated clicks) we temporarily process your IP address for rate-limiting and fraud prevention. We do not use this to build advertising profiles about you.
• Technical data. Standard request data such as browser type, approximate region and referring page may be processed by our hosting and logging systems.

2. How we use your information

• Provide and operate the server directory, watch/stream pages and knowledge base.
• Let you sign in, manage your account and manage server listings you own or claim.
• Rank and display servers using votes, clicks and other public activity.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam and vote manipulation.
• Send you essential account and service-related messages.
• Understand aggregate usage so we can improve the site.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for core functionality rather than for tracking you across the web:

• Authentication token — to keep you signed in.
• Language preference — to remember your chosen interface language.
• Chronicle preference — to remember the Lineage 2 chronicle you browse.

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings. Removing the authentication token will simply sign you out.

4. Third parties

We share data only with the service providers needed to run L2Hub:

• Email delivery. We use Resend to send account and service emails. Your email address is processed by Resend solely to deliver those messages.
• Embedded stream players. Server and watch pages may embed live streams from Twitch, YouTube and Kick. When an embed loads, those platforms may set their own cookies and receive your IP address under their own privacy policies.
• Hosting and infrastructure. Our hosting and database providers process data on our behalf to serve the site.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Public server listings and knowledge-base contributions may remain visible while relevant to the directory. IP addresses used for rate-limiting are kept only as long as needed for abuse prevention and are then discarded or aggregated. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise associated personal data, except where we must retain something to comply with law or resolve disputes.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at [email protected] (or [email protected]). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Children

L2Hub is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age of consent applies). If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

L2Hub serves a global community, and our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the site you understand your data may be processed in these locations.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes may be highlighted on the site. Continued use of L2Hub after changes means you accept the updated policy.
